World's Fastest Diesel Car Announced - Is it Too Good to be True?
by Diesel Center
Trident have announced a range of three new diesel sportscars starting at a casual $162,000. For a two door, you might be expecting a little souped up 2 or 3 litre engine neatly fitted in it's slim frame.
Trition's released specifications for the car include a monstrous 6.6 litre Duramax diesel V8, producing a mouth-watering 395hp and 700lb-ft of torque, taking it from 0-100km/h in a brisk 3.7s - matching Aston Martin's V12 Vantage S.

Still not enough power for you? You're free to fork out another ~$19,250 to up the output to 430hp and torque to 950lb-ft...and if you're still disappointed, an additional ~$52,635 track-pack will up it further to 660hp and 1,050lb-ft.
So what's the catch? Does it guzzle down fuel? Will it fit anything more than a hangbag for luggage? On the contrary, the new Triton range offers an unbelievable cruising range of 3200km and boot space for at least a couple suitcases and bags.
The world's fastest diesel sportscar with fuel effiency, space, low maintenance at a (relatively) affordable price tag.
Assuming that Triton deliver on their specs and features, a super low maintenance, super efficient high performance car for a not insane price seems pretty darn appealing.
Want to up the output, performance and fuel efficiency from your diesel without the hefty price tag of the Triton? Steinbauer's Power Modules increase power and torque up to 25% and reduce fuel consumption up to 10%.
